Many people have become convinced that the key to the revitalization of our economy is not through large corporations and international businesses, but will be through investment in small scale, local farms using sustainable agricultural practices. Such local farms provide an alternative to the factory farms whose use of environmental resources, as well as the use of preventive antibiotics are of concern to many consumers, environmentalists, and public health policy advocates.
