SUMMARY:Let’s Go Dutch: A Heritage of Dutch Humanism
DESCRIPTION:The Dutch established New Amsterdam at the mouth of the Hudson River in the 17th century\, and Jacob Klaeysen established a Dutch family in western New York in the 20th century. AEU Leader Anne Klaeysen explores her roots through the works of two Dutch Humanist philosophers\, Erasmus and Spinoza. \nAnne Klaeysen is Leader Emerita of the NY Society for Ethical Culture. She also served as Humanist Chaplain at Columbia University and New York University. Ms. Klaeysen holds a Doctor of Ministry degree from Hebrew Union College and masters degrees  in German from SUNY at Albany and in business administration from NYU. She is a member of the Brooklyn Society for Ethical Culture. \nThis program will be presented via a Zoom session.
