DESCRIPTION:While consensus decision making may not address the many issues posed by our current political polarization\, it is a method of achieving agreement by hearing and addressing all pros and cons of an issue or proposal before taking a decision to act.  It can be very useful in groups (like EHST) when people are committed to serious listening and to finding solutions acceptable to all which are based on a group’s core principles.  Come to learn more about this decision making method!  EHST member\, Amy Piersma\, will be our speaker. \n  \n

SUMMARY:Stone Soup Thanksgiving Potluck
DESCRIPTION:On November 20th\, EHST will hold its annual “Stone Soup” celebration.  We will tell the history of Stone Soup\, and then we will each be given an opportunity to express what we can be thankful for in our lives.   (Please note that being “thankful” does not require theism; nontheists can be thankful too!) \nPlease bring your favorite dish to share.  Please do label what your dish is\, and its ingredients so attendees can make informed choices. \nYou may bring bread\, rolls\, or juice as your contribution.  Desserts are also welcome! \nThis meeting is a Zoom “hybrid” meeting.  We will meet at our regular venue\, Extraordinary Ventures\, where the program will take place.  We will also Zoom the program until we break for our potluck.    If you wish to attend via Zoom\, please email info@ncethicalsociety.org with your first and last name to be registered as an attendee for this program.
