Abortion: Three Solutions to the Social Issue
March 4, 2018 @ 8:30 am - 10:30 am
The decision on whether or not to terminate a pregnancy has existed for as long as the realization that it was possible. What came with it was generations-long explorations of biological and moral imperatives, gender roles, personal responsibilities, religious beliefs, and much more. In America, issues surrounding the choice of ending a pregnancy crystallized in the ’60s, and remained unresolved despite the 1973 Roe v. Wade decision. EHST friend and frequent contributor Solomon Gibson will give a presentation that points out the basic problems of the issue, pros and cons of the momentous court decision, some of its effects, and three solutions that may serve to settle this important issue.
