Dog Training and Treating Mental Illness

Puppy love is not just for children. UNC at Chapel Hill has a shelter to pet program which helps those with severe mental illness by teaching them to train puppies for adoption as service dogs. Benefits for patients include learning responsibility, enhancing self-confidence, experiencing empathy, as well as training for a job. Come hear about the Puppy Development Center!
