Girl Rising – Nine Girls, Nine Stories of Courage

On Sunday, March 26th, EHST will honor Women’s History Month by viewing a portion of an award-winning documentary, Girl Rising. We will meet at our usual time of 1:30pm – 3:30pm. (Book Club follows at 3:30pm.) Following the partial viewing of the film we will have a discussion.
The fifth anniversary edition of Girl Rising travels the globe to meet nine unforgettable girls, striving beyond circumstance and overcoming nearly insurmountable odds to achieve their dreams. Directed by Academy Award Nominee, Richard E. Robbins, produced by Martha Adams, written by acclaimed female writers, and voiced by celebrated actresses including Meryl Streep, Kerry Washington, Anne Hathaway and more, Girl Rising proves that one girl with courage is a revolution.
This meeting is a Zoom “hybrid” meeting. We will meet at our regular venue, Extraordinary Ventures, where the program will take place. We will also Zoom the program.
