July 4th – History and Perspective

We will use prerecorded videos to illustrate the historical context of the Declaration of Independence, and a perspective on July 4th which was originally delivered by Frederick Douglass in 1852 on July 4th.  Afterward we will discuss these videos as well as address our current status of freedom and democracy in our country.
