One Hundred Fifty Years of American Musical History

Singer and songwriter Patrick Kelly will be with us on April 29. His program, America’s Music, will focus on the four recognized American musical styles. Although each has elements of European and/or African musical styles, these four styles are considered uniquely American by music historians. Patrick will take us on a musical tour of more than 150 years of American musical history.
Patrick Kelly is a composer, songwriter, and singer. Since 1986, he has traveled the world, visiting all the continents except Africa and Antarctica. He also lived for fifteen years in Europe and the Middle East – four years in Ireland and eleven years in Israel. He now lives in Akron, Ohio.
