Rise Against Hunger

Rise Against Hunger (RAH) is a Raleigh-based non-profit dedicated to “ending hunger in our lifetime by providing food and life-changing aid to the world’s most vulnerable, and creating a global commitment to mobilize the necessary resources.” It was founded in 1998 by Ray Buchanan, a United Methodist minister, and now has locations in Italy, India, Malaysia, South Africa, and the Philippines. It has earned a four star rating from Charity Navigator. Our speaker, Zach Karges, will talk about the work of the organization. He is assistant manager of the Raleigh Community Engagement under RAH.
