The American Ethical Union – What You Need to Know

The American Ethical Union (AEU) was founded in 1893 when the first four ethical societies in the US (NYC, Philadelphia, Chicago and St. Louis) joined together to form an umbrella federated organization. Fast forward 129 years and the AEU has expanded and contracted along with many other congregational organizations.
What exactly does the AEU do, and how has it changed over the years? How does the EHST and its membership interact with the AEU, and how has the pandemic impacted this relationship? What are the current headwinds the AEU is facing and why were 2021 and 2022 particularly challenging years?
Jan Broughton (past president of the AEU) and Dorothy Dale (current AEU Board member) will discuss the AEU and attempt to answer members’ and friends’ questions.
