The Boy in the Moon

What is the essence of our humanity? The book, “The Boy in the Moon: A Father’s Journey to Understand His Extraordinary Son,” by Ian Brown, is about raising his severely intellectually disabled son. The book explores life and meaning in the context of raising a severely disabled child. Brown, an atheist,  asks, “What is the value of a life like his—a life lived in twilight, and often in pain? What is the cost of his life to those around him?  Our speaker, Brian Clougherty, will provide us his thoughts on this book.
