Human Trafficking in North Carolina, and What You Need to Know
December 15, 2019 @ 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm
Margaret Henderson, UNC School of Government, will speak to us about Human Trafficking in North Carolina.
This presentation will convey basic information about sex and labor trafficking: What it is and isn’t, who it involves, the forms it takes, and helping us learn more about what we can do to prevent, identify, or respond to the problem.
To better understand how you might not be recognizing the indicators of human trafficking, watch this two minute video from the Michigan State Police.
Margaret Henderson joined the School of Government in 1999. Her current responsibilities include teaching in the School’s MPA program, working with the school’s effort in Engaging Women in Public Service, and assisting NC communities to address human trafficking through Project No Rest, housed in the UNC School of Social Work.
